I would consider today a success.
You know when you only really NEED 2 things from the grocery store so you put off going until you have a few other things you need. Well that was today. I only needed cleaner to mop the floor and bread. Change that - I REALLY REALLY needed floor cleaner. I had been trying to get by with my swiffer wet towel-things, whatever they're called. So off to Wal-Mart we went, just Sam and I. I made it out of the house with everything we needed, which is a small success in itself. The "trip" went well. Sam slept all the way to town (15 minutes at the most) and dozed off and on while we were walking through the store.
It's so funny to take her out in public. I have discovered that there are 2 main types of people that stop or stop me to make a comment about her; they are men that have a family and older women. The older women always just comment on how cute or little she is, but the men are actually much cuter. They look at her and you can tell they see their little one when he or she was at that age.
Today's comments:
She's so little/small/etc. How old is she? I remember when my _______ was that little. Man they grow up fast. She's adorable/cute/etc. Enjoy it. (this is generally from the men.
How old is she? ~2 weeks yesterday ~ Oh my! She's so little. How big was she when she was born? ~7lbs 7oz~. Well that's not that little! She sure is cute/etc. (this was one older lady's comment.)
I love taking her out. She makes everybody smile! (and I could be a tinsy-winsy bit of a proud momma.)
