Excellent Day

Today my Grandpa & Grandma Keach came up to visit and do a little carpentry.  Grandpa (and I helped a little) demolished the back step and worked on building a bigger more stable one.  This back step has a gigantic step up (painful for an episiotomy patient) that is really troubling to our older relatives.  Not ANYMORE!  Grandpa got most of it done today and will come back a little later to finish the other side's steps and the railings if we choose to put them on.  It looks fantastic so far, don't you think?

Also today Sam and I tried out the new stroller.  Here are our pictures after we got home.

This has been the week for Sam's bodily fluids to be on me.  Yuck.  Yesterday I was pooped on, which I thought was SO funny when it happened to JM.  haha..ok it's still funny.  This evening she did the lovely spit-up through the nose except instead of leaving her head on my shoulder she lifted her head up.  This caused me to look at her and we were pretty much eye-to-eye.  Which means the "nose vomit" went all over my the lower part of my face.  *sigh* yuck.  She's been fussy this evening, so I forgiver her.  I think little tummy is too full and therefore hurts.  Though the Mylicon (spelled incorrectly I'm sure) today has worked really well. Last night she slept VERY WELL, but was up at 4 a little fussy.  So we came out to the living room and rocked for awhile.  The swing was apparently what she wanted.  So she slept there until we got up this morning at 7:30.

Some other pictures from today:

After our walk - relaxing in the swing.

Laying on the couch - waiting for Dad to come home.

From earlier in the day - Sleeping in my crib like a "big girl".  This has been the 1st time since one of those 1st nights home from the hospital.  She loves sleeping on her stomach, but you're not supposed to let them do that these days.  I just make sure I check her all the time.
