Monday April 12th

Sam had a really good night last night.  She was asleep around 8 and didn't wake up until 10:45 or so.  At one point during the night I had laid down in the bed to burp her with her on my chest.  We both fell asleep.  I'm not sure how long we slept together b/c my phone had died overnight so I didn't have a clock. She slept pretty good throughout the night which was nice but was up at 4.  She dozed off and on until 5 but then decided it was time to be up.  It as ok though b/c we got to see JM before he left for work.  Sam then slept off an on until 10 and I dozed with her.  She was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by 10:30.  I had scheduled her baby pictures for today at 1:30 so I gave her a bath.  She really likes it. 
We were given this foam piece that you can lay the baby on.  The middle of it is caved in to kind of keep them on their backs. I just lay it in the sink sitting up and then sit her on it.  That way she can sit in the sink without sliding everywhere.  Babies are SLICK little things!!  She really likes having her hair washed though. After I wash her body I wrap her up in a warm towel and then halfway lay her on the cabinet and then hold her head over the sink.  We have a little sprayer with our sink and I just barely make it run and spray her hair with it.  She smiled almost the whole time today.  I love the way she smells after a bath!

Papa Jim stopped by on his lunch break from delivering the mail.  She was wide awake for him which doesn't always happen. 

Unfortunately for picture day, her baby acne was really showing today.  I think it was b/c it was warmer today than it has been lately.  It really flares up when she gets really fussy or warm.  I'm already really kicking myself for not getting her baby pictures done earlier when she was really really small but now with the acne I'm not feeling any better about it.  Oh well.  Even more frustrating is that right now, there isn't much on her face at all!  and during her little "photo shoot" it was pretty red - but she was kind of fussy while we were there. *sigh*  Win some -loose some. =)

This afternoon Sam and I just relaxed at home. I messed around in the kitchen a little bit and did some dishes.   Jamie Wheeler stopped by after work to pick up a few things to take to the school for me and to visit of course. 

Now we're just waiting on JM to get home.  But he hasn't called yet so that means he hasn't even left West Union yet.  I made some brownies today though and they are calling my name.  mmm warm brownies and a glass of milk  mmmmmmm.....
