Saturday I packed up Sam and we headed to Terre Haute to Baby's R Us. I had a 20% off coupon and they were having a big sale on clothes. I really wanted a glider chair with a footstool. We have a wooden rocking chair but it isn't the traditional style and it KILLS my back. I had saved back some money from the shower and from my birthday so I was prepared to buy one that day. Well, they had 6 different ones and the one in esspresso that they had in stock was a little more than $500. Ouch. They had another one that had a fabric that looked green in the store and the finish was a very pretty cherry color. Since it was the last one and the floor model they had marked it down from 300 to 200 and I had the 20% coupon. EXCELLENT. There are some dirt marks on it but they will wipe right off. They had a lot of the clothes marked down 25%-50% PLUS I had a coupon that took an additional 25% off. Sam needed some newborn outfits b/c we don't have too many of them. She made out like a bandit. I also picked up the book "The Girlfriend's Guide to Surviving the First Year of Motherhood". I loved her other book and this one is excellent so far too.
That night though Sam was up from 8-12 and only stopped crying for short spans of time. Finally at midnight she fell asleep and went back to her normal self. YIKES
Our new chair!
*side note* I had no idea the picture was SO caty-wampus. Whoops.

Sunday: My family came by for lunch after they made a trip to Champaign. While they were in Champaign I ran into town to get a few groceries. I looked for the gas drops for infants but the Paris Wal-mart didn't carry it. The pharmacist was pretty upset that the store didn't have it, which I thought was a nice guesture.
I plan on going to Charleston on Wednesday so I will try that Wal-Mart.
I cooked ribeyes on the grill for lunch and they were pretty tastey! Mom did her normal thing of cleaning here and there. Dad took a look at our mower and ended up mowing the entire lawn! THANK YOU! I wasn't really sure how I was going to get that done but now I don't have worry about it for awhile. They all got to snuggle and play with Sam and I got some adult interaction. Both of us were happy!
JM got home really late again but thankfully Sam was her normal self. She was in bed when he got home so we watched a little bit of t.v. Well I watched t.v. and JM fell asleep with his head in my lap. So then I put my 2nd baby to bed and then waited a half hour for Sam to get up. She was on her 3 hour sleep schedule for the rest of the night which was great!
Some pictures from today.
Showing off her "monkey pose" to Grandma & Grandpa Kautz (and Aunt Marisa)
Snoozing on the quilt that Aunt Joy & Aunt Dixie made her.
