Doctor's Appointment - 38 1/2 weeks

The appointment went well today. I got to see Doc. Miller, who is my favorite, because Doc Miller was busy delivering his 3rd baby for the day.  Anyways.....
Her heart was beating away at 156, which is really high for her!  Usually she is pretty consistent with 136 but Doc said that she was probably being pretty active at the time and not to worry.  FYI - I had no caffeine today either. I have lost one pound, so I am supposed to "keep drinking" - yuck.  If I drink any more liquid I think I'm going to start floating.  He did check dialation but my cervix is still very posterior (WAY up there) and is maybe 1cm.  Also, when pressure is applied she "floats" away.  When she is closer to being ready, she won't float up when pushed on.  A short story even shorter --> we're not very close in the grand scheme of things.  This is completely fine with me!  I am not miserable like I hear a lot of women that are at my stage.  I'm really the happy pregnant women.  Sleeping sometimes isn't very fantastic but I do sleep quite well for the situation.  I'm not sure Jim feels the same b/c I'm sure my tossing around every once in awhile wakes him up.  My hands don't hurt so much anymore, but I never really have feeling in my fingertips anymore.  Which I was assured today, would go away sometime after labor.

All in all a good appointment!  I just have to remember to be patient!
