While we were out in Baltimore we decided to visit Shoreline Seafood. They are a fresh fish market. On the Monday evening before we left, we decided to cook fresh seafood for supper. I LOVE LOVE LOVE scallops, so we purchased those and JM loves mahi mahi so of course we got it too. While we were in the store we inquired about shipping or taking some home. We discovered that they give us all the stuff to take it on the plane, which is much cheaper then overnighting it back to Illinois. Well, my grandma keach LOVES scallops just like me so I decided to surprise her. I brought back 1 or 2 pounds of scallops and invited her up for lunch. It was really nice to sit down and chat over some FANTATIC scallops. Fresh scallops are so fantastic, if I sit back and close my eyes I can ALMOST taste them. mmmmmm....mmmmm..mmmmmm
We also brought back some blue crab lumps. I made them into crabcakes, but they didn't really hold together well. They tasted good though. We went ahead and froze the other pound of crabmeat so we will have to fix some crab dip later.
I wonder if people out there crave a fresh, never-frozen, piece of premium beef ???
