It seems like November and December have been really big development months. She now is crawling from one end of the house to another. She has been pulling up to her knees and all the way up to her feet, however the latter has been pretty shakey. Today though, she is doing it like a pro. She also figured out today that she can climb on the shelf underneath the table between our furniture. I had cleared off the shelf a long time ago but we have "hidden" the cords behind or beneath the table. Today she got up on the shelf and then scooted to the back. She must have learned to put her head down because before she would bump her head on the table, get mad, and then find something else to do. Not today, she has "put 2 and 2 together".
I thought I saw two bumps on her bottom gums, but it was such a fleeting glance I can't be certain. I guess I always assumed the bumps would be right in the middle of her gums but the bumps looked to be more towards the inside of her gums instead of the middle?? Like I said, I'm not certain. Her mouth is a steel trap when you are trying to feel for teeth, because she thinks you are trying to dig out something she put in there. Except, she has forgotten that she doesn't have anything in there. haha
This past week she slept through the night twice but then she was also up and restless for at least an hour twice. I really don't consider that a fair trade.
Friday was a day spent with Grandma Keach for Samantha. Joy wasn't able to watch Samantha so Grandma Keach came up Thursday evening, spent the night, and watched Samantha all day on Friday. They had a lot of fun together! Samantha even slept for her, which is sometimes a touchy subject. If there is something new going on or something different Samantha is NOT going to miss a thing. (Secretly, I might be dreading the Holidays...might, just might). While Grandma was here she had time to clean a little and WOW, it is nice!! Since she did that, I had time this weekend to decorate for Christmas and do some other much needed chores ... like DUSTING! This house really needed it.
On Saturday Papa Jim watched Samantha while JM and I headed out for some shopping. We are so close to being done! We also had a great time out and about on our own. We even had lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Yum!
Today was a lazy day. We had every intention of running up to Champaign to finish Christmas shopping, but we decided against it. I was up until 11:30 Saturday night decorating the tree and JM was up WAY later than that playing his new football PS3 game. Samantha was up at 12 but went right back down, however she must not have received the memo that we all wanted dto sleep in on Sunday. =) I've wrapped presents, snuggled on the couch with my family, and enjoyed a lazy Sunday today. It has been great!
