A Mini-Miracle

So Monday night, Samantha wanted a bottle instead of me to go to bed with.  Ok, whatever.  Odd, but I didn't think much about it.
On Tuesday night, she wouldn't nurse and wouldn't take the bottle. I took her back in our bedroom in the complete dark and quiet and she just rolled over on to her back, snuggled in against my arm and body and fell asleep.  Let me repeat that... FELL ASLEEP.  Now I thought that was a little odd.
Tonight, she ate supper at 5 (normal) and then played until about 7 and became a little fussy (normal for fussiness to indicate bath time. Timing was not normal - usually she's ready for a bath less than an hour after she eats.).  After she took her bath she played for another hour and then started to fuss a little.  I picked her up in the cradle hold and she was already turning away from me so I didn't even try to nurse.  We went and warmed up a bottle and she refused it.  I was sitting in the chair in the living room and JM suggested taking her back in our room like I did last night.  We then had a conversation about how we didn't want to start a bad habit.  So we decided I woudl lay her down in her bed and maybe she would take the bottle.  I left her night light on and tried the bottle and that was a no-go.  So I turned off the little lamp, went back to the crib, made her lay back down because she had popped up to sit.  She rolled onto her side, cuddled up to her blankey, and I started to rub her back.  She then preceded to FALL ASLEEP.  Holy Moly Batman!  I'm not sure whose child I just put in Samantha's crib, but I love her! hahahaha.  I hope this is a new trend, no check that, I PRAY that this is a new trend.

I love that she is staying up later at night because we actually get to play with her instead of feeding, bathing, nursing and bed.

She is so stinkin' cute and funny.  Her facial expressions are outrageous.  She has picked up on how to play peek-a-boo and thinks it is the greatest thing ever.
